Complaint against Farah Khan

According to a NDTV report, the complaint was officially registered on February 20 following Khan’s comments during an episode of Celebrity MasterChef. Phatak alleged that Khan referred to Holi as “a festival for the Chhapris,” a term that is widely perceived as offensive and derogatory. He claimed that her statement had deeply hurt his religious sentiments, as well as those of the larger Hindu community.

Her remarks were irresponsible and inflammatory, and we seek legal action under the provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).”

Following the complaint, an FIR has been filed against Khan under sections 196, 299, 302, and 353 of the IPC. While the controversy continues to gain traction, social media users have also taken to various platforms to criticize the filmmaker for her remarks, calling them offensive and insensitive. Many have demanded an apology, while others have urged authorities to take strict legal action against her.
